Dinner Tonight

The first thing you have to do to make dinner with a 9 month old in the house is to occupy her with a tray of finger foods she can easily cram into her mouth:
There were obviously a few steps in between this picture and the next but they were pretty boring so here is the finished product, Chicken Noodle Casserole (a WW friendly recipe of course). All the things you love in Chicken Noodle Soup but without the soup because jeez it was like 69 degrees here today! Since we ALL eat leftovers here at the Kleckner household I made enough for dinner tonight, Rex and my lunches tomorrow and of course for Astoria's lunch tomorrow and a few days thereafter.
For Astoria to take the casserole to daycare it has to be blended. Apparently the State of Texas won't allow finger foods for children until they are 1 years old. If you'll notice in the upper right hand corner of the casserole dish is the part I used for Astoria's food. Not much to make 8 meals. So I blend it up:

After it's blended I scoop it into these nifty little containers. You'll notice it's not a smooth puree. She likes things a little chunky these days. These containers will then snap shut and be put in the freezer. I'll pair one of these 2oz containers with a 2oz container of bananas or pears in the morning and VOILA she has lunch for tomorrow. I'm sure Mrs. Debbie will be asking for recipe after she gets a smell of Astoria's food tomorrow!
